Tuesday we had MLC and so we had to leave at 7:00 am because it is like an hour and half drive without traffic, but it was good, MLC was really great we talked a lot about relationships with people and leading in the Lord's way it was a really good meeting I love going to MLC we learn a lot and I found some more things to work on so that is good! But ya then we went back and that was a longer drive because of traffic, but it was fun in the mini van. Then we had dinner with a family in the ward and they used to live in the East Stake in Tucson. Not sure how long ago, but the family is the Tanners. But ya the rest of the week was full of paperwork and a lot of administrative stuff we had to do. We had our Stake meeting with the stake president and that was good there is a super cool opportunity coming up in Rochester. It is where on every Thursday they shut down this street and all these vendors come out and all the people from the Mayo clinic go and eat lunch and so it is just thousands of people in the street. So it is going to be a great opportunity. We are trying to get a booth as well as have elders and sisters just walking around during it so that is cool. Hope we can make it happen.
But ya and on Friday we had interviews with President Forbes and so we had to get to the chapel at 8:30 to set up and them people came and went till 2:45 and we finally got to leave it was long, but good. We had training's going on during it and it was good. I really look up to President a lot he is a great man. It was great. On Saturday we went to our Cambodian Less active's house for lunch and he made a ton of food. Like two huge things of noodles! And stuff to put on top and then was continually just making egg rolls the while time. The bishop's family came over and left before we did. I ate so much food because they kept saying eat more, eat more. I am glad I learned how to say I am full in Cambodian it helps a lot when eating at their house! But that day we had a hand off lesson with the sisters with a Hindu family we were teaching the sister followed us on there bikes and it was a long ride because they didn't know how to shift or when to shift so we had to teach them, but we made it it was my first time teaching the Hindu family and they are cool they have a lot of potential and a 9 year old son who is super pumped to come to church it is cool to see.
But ya on Sunday two of our investigators came to church and that was great and it was a good day at church and ya the new Easter video came out you should check it out and share it! It is great. I love it and am excited to use it this week to find and uplift people! But it was good week. This morning in my studies I was reading in Galatians and read this verse.
Galatians 6:9
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
And I was pondering on this verse and I really like it because it really applies to a lot of things that happen in a mission because there are a lot of missionaries who can get super discouraged. There is no need to get discouraged because we are doing good and eventually if we keep doing good we will reap our rewards and be blessed for all that we do that is good. In Preach My Gospel is says:
You should not, however, become discouraged; discouragement will weaken your faith. If you lower your expectations, your effectiveness will decrease, your desire will weaken, and you will have greater difficulty following the Spirit.
We should never get discouraged this also applies to regular life we need to not worry if our efforts fail at times to do good things. So no matter what we need to keep our head up and still do our best and shoot for higher and good goals so don't be weary in well doing keep going and never give up. I love this work and I love being able to share His word. Hope you all have a good week.
Till next week.
Love
